Has anyone had anyone tried, or had success, using a push net to gather prawn or shrimp bait on open sandy beaches on the Hants/Dorset coast?

I used to have great catches in Kent, even caught a 1.1/2lb Dover sole once.
I found conditions at the time very important. A flat low tide after a bit of a blow when the water has some colour is the best time in my experience. Gin clear water and thick weed are your worst enemy, I found, if you are after brown shrimp.
I used to poke about round the rocks for prawn.
