Whatever your opinion, you have until the 31st of March 2008 to send your responses to the Government regarding the Recreational Sea Angling Strategy for England Consultation Paper.

The fact this Paper only concerns England is irrelevant. No matter what part of the United Kingdom you reside in, the eventual law will  affect you either in the short term or the long term. Whether by similar  legislation in your constituent country or other knock on effects.

Responding to this paper gives you the right to voice your  opinions on the government proposals for Recreational Sea Angling, including  the Sea Angling Licence. If you have any sort of passion, ideas or opinions on  what the government is proposing you MUST respond to DEFRA. It is no good  setting up petitions, bleating on internet forums or sending letters into the  main magazines, the only way to be heard is to respond directly!

It will take you half an hour to read the paper; a reply  might take you a further half an hour. That is ONE HOUR of your time that can  be used to help protect and enhance a recreation that will last you and future  generations a lifetime.

It doesn’t matter what your opinion is, as long as you voice  it to those that matter, your chance is now, use it!
