I tonight bought a Normark Nirvana 3lb test carp rod, for no other reason than i didn't have one. the price was stunning, just over the £30 mark, now....are they any good?....lol

isn't it a bit heavy for bass and mullet fishing? i have a greys bze just for bass, a shimano beastmaster 9/11ft for mullet/course. i bought a 3lb test for big-ish carp/barbell.

for a light surf beach, probably,it's probably no stiffer than a light beachcaster.give it a try and see.i took 2 2.5tc rods to the llangennith gg meet, but thought conditions too rough to use them...hope that helps
