I have a weeks holiday in mid may.
I live in worcestershire, will travel 300 odd miles round trip.
What i need is a camp site, near the beach and a tackle shop for fresh bait. Clean ground if possible. Have fished the Gower, and chesil beach, caught all my salt water fish, off Hill End camp site, on the Gower.
Thanking you all Dave. (Think i can find an ale house. lol)
Try North or Mid Wales,
Some of the best fishing in the UK!

New Quay is more or less due west from you, plenty of beaches, rock platforms and accomodation .

i've stayed at Hill end before! didn't do any fishing that week though
when are you thinking of going? pevensey bay near eastbourne will soon se the bass returning, prob in full swing by mid / end may, hounds coming in around early may (last couple of years anyways), as well as gar and other fish.
camp sites all along the coast, with fishing only minutes walks away, you're also not far from eastbourne, brighton (20miles) etc, should you want some daytime stuff to do (fish at night!).

Thank you all for your time and advice, i will have a look at campsites in those areas. Crazyplums thank you for the info on Eastborne, but to get there would mean a round trip of 400 miles. (Mr. Darling god bless him)
Thanking you all Dave.
:fishing1::thumbs:Try Ulrome on the East Yorkshire Holderness coast just up from Hornsea/Skipsea. You can camp or caravan a stonesthrow from the clifftops. Some good cod still being caught and in summer, you can get bass and rays.
There`s a bait shop in the next village where you can get fresh bait and cheap tackle.
