It may not seem worthwhile to some, but if you add up the cost of replacing your Yak and the kit on / in it, you will be surprised at how much it's worth, So has any one insured their Yak and who is best ? my boat insurer does not cover Canoes or Kayaks so it's off to Google, but there must be some reccomendations !!

Try The Camping Club of GB their boat section covers canoes very cheaply and other craft up to 20 mph I think!

I use N.W Brown (office in Cambridge)to insure my Tarpon 140. I have the yak insured, Paddle, VHF, certain items of clothing / essentials for just over £100 per year (for around £1500 worth of stuff). I have the 'Gold' package with covers theft from home / motor vehicle + other place (as long as its secured), damage (own fault or others), total loss (own fault or others)... basically everything. easy... all sorted out over the phone, documents arrived a few days later.
