View Full Version : big game birthday prezzy
Hi Lads,
my mate has asked, if you wanted to send your dad, on his birthday, on a sea fishing holiday in September for some big fish, although not guaranteed but a good chance of fish, where would you go, he lives in spain with distance and cash not a problem, could anyone advise of anywhere for good sport, types of big fish, contact names or numbers etc.
thanks in advance

As a starting point you might want to view the suggestions on this thread - http://www.worldseafishing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54318 - the venues range all around the world. If any appeal post again and I'm sure someone can give you further information.

New Zealand the Bay Of Islands for snapper, harpuka and the best fighting fish ever know to man the Kingfish.
There is always florida for the Tarpon.
The Nile for the Perch#
Or Norway for the Cod, Coalfish and Halibut.

Cape Verde for Blue Marlin. Not to painful a trip from Spain, probably via Lisbon in Portugal.

Seriously mate, what is your budget going to be on a per day basis? And what's your idea of a big fish - 50 lb? 100 lb? 200 lb? 400 lb? 1000 lb? Are you going to want to catch a game fish (marlin, tuna, tarpon) or will any fish that hits the required weight do (shark, stingray, etc)? Are you the type of guy who needs fairly frequent action to keep happy or are you able to wait for days to get that one big fish?
