Here i have Spaces for winter cod fishing in the Bristol Channel,Sailing from Penarth on board AnchormanIII.Uptide fishing with Big worm baits!..Bring plenty of scoff and you sense of humour with you!
This is for Saturday 29th November 2008

Not having fished on her I'll happily take your advice Marcus...2 extra anglers could equal 4 more rods if everyone is as greedy as me ! That may make the difference.

Anchorman with its 33ft length, 16ft beam and catarmaran hull is one of the biggest and most comfortable charter boats in South Wales with massive deck space, more than capable of accommodating 12 Anglers and has been fitted out with safety as a top priority. The boat is equipped with the very best in hi-tech navigation and radar equipment. Facilities include a toilet which is adjacent to the wheel house. Anchorman carries a full MCA 60 mile MCA CoP license and insured to carry 12 passengers.

It wouldn't be a good idea to fish two rods if there are 12 anglers on board!
On last weekend's trip quite a few of us fished two rods - between 10 of us we had 14 rods out with hardly any tangles so 12 wouldn't be a problem but probably need to limit to a rod each. There's plenty of space.......

'tis a tricky one this alright! Bin most boats I've been on have comfortably fished 2 rods a man (there are a few exceptions obviously)...it just takes a bit of care and respect, and a bit of common sense, when the tide is running at full pelt you drop back to one rod. I always like to fish 2 rods...however if the agreement is one rod per man then I'll happily go with that.

If your at anchor with little tide flow two rods are a maybe in my book, lots of tide flow equals a big no.
One rod fished well will do better than two rods, a couple of guys fishing from a small boat can get away with it, one each of either side and one each of the stern and even then I've seen some right messes and it always happens when you have a decent fish on.
Theres plenty of room on that boat to fish 2 rods i did all day no problems. Me a col175 fish up to 10 11 rods off his warrior when fishing is slow
A boat of that size 12 peeps will be fine but we should stick to one rod each as i think we should all stay friends:eek:
if 12 come..its one rod each...otherwise it will become a nightmare.
SO make a decision fellas..

Well I'm biased as a reserve so I'll vote for 12 with a rod a-piece. It'll be a good day.
I'm easy on this one guys and will go with the majority. I guess the price of the trip goes up or down depending on number of anglers, or are we all booked in as individuals?

since it was booked with ten anglers the price should go down if 12 fish.
personally id prefer 10 on board..
Was a decision made about the numbers as ill need to put some coin away this week for the trip if 10 go.
im gonna keep it to 10..

lads might have 2 pull ot of this one when i got home last night her in doors asked me when was i out again on the boat i said week today she said hope not ITS THE GRAN SONS BIRTHDAY and we have booked a hall and the rest for the day so i will have 2 wait untill around wed or thursday 2 see if i can make it if thats ok tight lines
