im going to colwick fly fishery for the third time hopeing to catch on my third trip im no the bank but unsure of the methods that work best here and would also love one of the brownies there but again dont no whats the best method for them at this venue any info on the place would be much appreceated

Hi fished it once and had seven rainbows in a day, caught on both black buzzers and pheasant tail nymphs sizes 16 and 12. Used slow sinking line 3lb tippet.
Fished on the road side near the carpark.

Normally fish the carp lakes, but the biggest carp i saw was on the trout lake, a good 30lb and feeding right in the edge (ssoooo catchable)

So my next suggestion would be a bread fly with 12lb tippet:ohmy:

Hiya, I went to Colwick twice in one summer about 3 years ago, the algae was so thick, the flies were lying on top of it..:(...but the chap in the "shed" will certainly keep you right..he was a fountain of knowledge for me..:):)

had a great day caught two fish and lost a couple caught on blackbuzzers on intermindent line.
