I've got a long weekend planned for the end of June. Looking to get some Wrasse fishing in, so has any one got any recommendations as to areas to try.

north wales will be stuffed full of wrasse by then.
i will be targeting them in begining of june and expect to get loads and we,ll be trying to beat our best just under 6lb.
Portland area may still have some bigger fish available, there also seems to be some good ones caught around cornwall coasts.
we have some in north devon too but not sure if they are targeted here in any gret numbers.

Thanks for the replies so far. I've been banned from the S West area as I'm heading down there in October. PB comes from Angelsey so it looks like a trip up that area.

the St Davids area West Wales loads of
marks all around that area. Not only wrasse
but bass pollock garfish and mackerel as well

Try Uwchmynydd on th Lleyn Peninsula, some whoppers there and beautiful scenery to boot
Any where along from Portland to Swanage could produce good wrasse

Porth Iago's an easy to reach rough-ground rock mark on the Lleyn with a few good-sized ballans and mackerel for the barbecue too :)
Cheers - John
