Hi all
can anybody explain why wind direction has an affect to whether you catch or not.

Wind from the West, the fish bite best.

Wind from the East, the fish bite least!

I think factors like water temp, flow of water, bait fish distribution, etc have something to do with it?

Ask Mike Ladle, he would know! I did read somewhere the real reasons, by....Mike Ladle:g:

depending on where you are, wind from one direction can kick up a surf, opposite direction flattens the sea.

whatever conditions the mark fishes best in, the wind dictaes the sea state(usually)
