I have been lucky enough to have put my hands on a very used one of these. Needs tarting up!

Anyway, there are quite a few scratches on the bottom which I was wondering if it can be resurfaced in any way? It looks like it is made out of polyethelyne.

Also, does anyone else have one of these?

I am just starting to look for a wetsuit and bouyancy aid - I have a radio (and passed my test!)... any help / guidance / buddies out there? Location : Margate, Kent

Sorry to say - that is how polythene kayaks end up, with a bit of fur on the bottom. You can weld holes/cracks but it isn't really viable to try and fill the scratches or to polish them out. You just live with them.

Thanks for the reply Simon. I'll just have to use it to see if I'll enjoy it and then upgrade!!

Running a disposable BIC razor over the scratches can help make things smoother again.

I did try a remington, but it didn't help much! Sorry, I couldn't resist!!! I'll give it a try! I did think about sanding it down and maybe using a polyethelyne spray paint....
