Having similar problems myself but with Anglesea, any tips you collect would be very useful as though I have fished for trout for 10 -15 years never tried in saltwater before. Did here that farlows Sportfish (http://www.sportfish.co.uk) have some great bass and sea trout flies with the sand eel being particularly good. How to fish it though? any tips would be appreciated

also ive known for people to fish tynemouth pier for the makerel with a fly... i dnt know if it works tho</font>
