Hi all,
I'm going to be off to Playa Del Carmen soon and hope to get some fishing done out there.
Can anyone recommend a good charter for bottom fishing. I have searched the internet for info, but am undecided with the information available.
Many thanks
Dan

Hi mate I from Playa del carmen but I live in essex:cry: I think is better if you hire a boat there because if you do on internet it'll cost more,.
A fishing trip can cost betwen £90(4 people) to 150(4-6 people) depending the size of the boat and each trip is for 4 hours and it incluye equiment , beers, water.,,sometimes you can share the trip with others fishermen but I don't recommend you it,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I hope this help,,,,,if you want more info no worries I can help you
There is a big marina at Puerto Aventuras (biggest in the area) and not far from Playa del Carmen If you deal direct with the skippers you will get a better deal. If you can bring some lures with you they may accept them as part payment as lures cost a fortune over there.
Google fishing charters Puerto aventuras and you will get plenty of ideas

Google fishing charters Puerto aventuras and you will get plenty of ideasHi mate I've been working as skiper for many years in riviera maya(cancun, playa del carmen, puerto aventuras etc.)I can tell you that in puerto aventuras is much more expensive than playa del carmen and nobody will accept lures as part of payment maybe as a present.
Lures are much more expensive here than in mexico.
and as you say is much better to deal with the skiper.

Jorge

Puerto Aventuras is just fifteen minutes from Playa...
I spend a lot of the winter in Puerto Aventuras You can walk around the marina in the morning or anytime really and just (most days) get a charter. If you want something less commercial the Mexican who looks after my boat when I am not there, has a panga boat, he is a dive master and is one of the best captains in the marina. His name is Ruben his telephone number is Cel:044 984 1 38 8803 Casa: 9842062852
email: nnonar@hotmail.com
I can personally recommend him, his English is good and he is good company and gives you a very fair days fishing.
