I'm going to be in Hale (Cornwall) for a week on holiday in August (first week) and would love to give kayaking a go.

Any ideas on hiring one?

Thanks

HI Groomy,

dont know if they still do it, but the boys at Newtown Angling used to hire out a couple of Kayaks. Not sure about the rules and regs, but Chris is a top guy.

If you fancy an explore on the Fal estuary kayaks can be hired at Truro (between Tescos and Radio Cornwall next to big Outdoor shop where Enterprise boat goes from) or St Mawes Quay or I think they now also do from Restronguet.

NB Treat Carrick Roads as 'open sea' there was a kayak rescued there last week - and not an inexperienced guy judging by the newspaper report.
