transducer problems

hi

ive got a eagle cuda 242 with a transom mount transducer, is it possible to fit this transducer on the inside of a kayak hull?? or will i have to get a shoot thro transducer?

also whats the best method to fix it in position?

Paul,

I've got a cuda 128 with a skimmer transducer, you might find it is the same one, I could have fitted mine on the transom.

I have stuck it inside the hull with sikaflex, I made a small pond out of plasticine then a good splodge of sikaflex, trying not too create any air bubbles the press the transducer in with a rock and wiggle to expell any air bubbles.

Before you embark on a non-reversible and visibly complex procedure, try sealing it with a sort of Weatherproof Tapes added to a temporary marine sealant. I've had mine sealed like that for over 12 months now and it still work fine :thumbs:
