A very rare COD for Jersey weighing in at 27lbs was caught last night by Louis Jackson just west of Corbiere Lighthouse. It is now on show at The Fresh Fish Company on Victoria Pier, Saint Helier Harbour. The last time a Cod of this size was caught at this time of year Jersey had a "White Xmas" that would be nice.

Jambo- do you know if that was caught from the shore or a boat?

As you may guess, I am in Jersey too!

Never caught a cod in Jersey, but have had a few whiting, and I think they are supposed to run together. May have another go next week if I can get out.
