As mention on a previous thread another mini meet would be good. Apart from the light drizzle:crazy: last time and only 1 fish it seemed quite a success (and a fine excuse to go fishing).

Trefusis was mentioned previously but I don't know the mark well enough to pick a tide. I am sure some of you folks know the mark well or can come up with another venue.

I can't do anything this weekend or next but the following should be ok. Tides for Saturday 13 September are HW at 4.59 pm and LW at 11.23 pm with a height of 6.5m based on Newquay tidetable with times adjusted for Falmouth I am not sure how this will fish can any shed some enlighten me??

I'll be well up for it mart if me foots up to it!! but cant do that weekend i have me girls on the weekends of the better tides. If it stays as a sunday tho could prob get there for around 7.30-8ish. dont know how the mark fishes of the shore but have had ray and huss not far from there on the boat, will be happy to pick anyone up from the Probus area as i said foot permiting :crazy: other than that i could be on the scrounge for a lift meself :whistling

That would be a better tide for the time you are planning to fish in my opinion. I used to fish there quite a bit and never did much once the tide started dropping. Also I never found it any good for bottom fishing in the daylight. Come night it was a different matter, was a Huss spot par excellence. That was a long time ago though, my last trip there recently produced only doggies but its certainly worth trying

i would say crabs are the worst thing there....
you just have to keep baiting up and plugging away...

Was unable to get down there over the weekend so here goes at directions from memory.

If you are driving through Truro take the A39 (Truro to Falmouth) or if you driving from Redruth take the A393 (Redruth to Falmouth road)

On either road when you get the first round about signed Penryn and Falmouth take the Penryn exit, first exit from Truro, second from Redruth (There is a fuel station just off this round about)

Follow this down until you see the next fuel station (Texaco I think) Take the next turning left signed for Flushing

Follow for approx 2 miles then there is a right turn off this road signed again for Flushing

At the end of this road you are in Flushing at a T junction. Turn right.

Follow the road right through the village, you will pass the pub then about 200yards or so there is a sharp left hand bend follow down this road and at the end there are some big fir trees in the grounds of a big expensive looking house.

Park on this road keeping in mind there are yellow lines here.

As I have said this is from memory so please feel free to correct any bits I have got wrong.

What do you all think is best set a time to meet on the road or just make our way to the rocks??

I would say that wind is just about perfect, Trefusis fishes much better with a bit of a sea running

Lee you've got mine and Aj and some others thought there.

Turnaware has been suggested but I don't know this mark but the source is a well seasoned angler!!! We will need to act quickly with a decision i think.
