View Full Version : Huttoft fish meet Nov 2nd
Thought id open this thread as not to spoil another persons thread.Fishing meet at Huttoft Lincolnshire.October 28th has been suggested. Thats the only day in the month my wifes going out:wallbash:Im fine with anyday around that 27th or 29th?,anymore?
With work commitments, I can only do a weekend after the 28th of any month, so it'd have to be the 1st/2nd November for me...
Okay Sunday 2nd November, hope thats okay with everyone else.

how about getting there for low water 2ish,plenty of time for a chinwag and to check the beach out before dark :fishing:
I,m on nights saturday so I will get there when I can, my missus says I'm better looking when it's dark.........:bangin:

That sounds good to me. It would give us a chance to get a head-count done before Tornado Trev takes any casualties in the dark LOL
I'll probably fish up to HW then have to make a move as I'll have work the next day in Cheltenham
Cheers

Should be ok for that date ,but not really sure about the venue never done any good there sorry to put the mockers on it but maybe further down the coast towards chapel maybe even the dreaded mogg's eye again

We didn't exactly do brilliantly from Mogg's Eye either last time, I seem to remember Andy! LOL
I think this was suggested pretty much because the car is in the line of sight and for easy accessibility to the car.
If venue suggestions are still the order of the day, then how about Winthorpe? The Skegness Pier Angling Club use it regularly in the Winter months, so it can't be that bad a venue. Plus, you can park in what used to be The Dunes' car park and can see your car from the beach.
I did pretty well at Trunch Lane last Winter too. It's a nice, deeper water venue. The downside of there is that there's a great big sand dune in between you and the car park (which is pretty much the case from Ingoldmells all the way up to Mablethorpe, with the exception of Huttoft).

Sorry fellas, but you will have to wait another time for the Stew..
My lad in his wisdom, reversed charges on the phone last night while he was at his detatchment, wanting money for a camp...
Didn't know the dates at first, but money was needed there and then.
I had a nasty feeling things weren't going to go my way,and my feelings were right...his camp is 31st,to the 2nd....
I am absolutely ****** off now,as it seems if I make some plans for myself, someone else comes and scuppers 'em.
I might as well ******* sell up and be a house b**** !!!!!!
No worries fella, catch ya down the wall sometime....:marinheir
Everything seems honky dory to me [if thats how you spell it] sorry i wont be getting any stew this time but i think i can fend off withdrawal symptoms for a while longer.
see yorl byeeeee.
We have got a date and time:clap2:.Just venue, perhaps this could be decided the week before(see whats being caught).Suggested venues are all pretty much close together anyway,if everyones in aggreeance, what do you reckon.Shame corndawg, was looking forward to your famous stew.

Good point,we would be better off picking a venue closer to the time.........:clap3:
Im all for huttoft seing as we can see cars from beach. also somewhere to meet and chat before hand. Am looking forward to it wherever we go. Seeyorl there.
If venue is a problem down to parking safety and break ins.I had a experience like this at chapel point but a local scared them off.If theres going to be quite a few of us,would it hurt to man any car park in half hour intervals, afterall most rebait every half an hour, and im sure we can watch each others rods.Like i say just an idea ,a bit military i know but it would give people a bit of reassurance, and my self.I originally said chapel 6 marshes as the venue, any one else have an opinion or am i being silly.

No you are not silly I would have choosen Wolla Bank at high tde you are fishing into deep water and this would have help them who can't cast very far.

Doubtless I'll have a similar day on Sunday. I fished with Smithy36 and Coalie earlier in the year. Coalie landed to repectable cod, then Smithy36 a few minutes later. I was in the middle of them both and didn't even get a bite! Like you say, just one of those.

See you all tomorrow.
All the best,

I don't think you have a chance of frozen or any type of lug mate.I was asking in the Skeggy shop today, and he said there is a big shortage of them, due to tides and winds stopping the diggers getting on the grounds.
I just hope that the lug I got given today will last untill tomorrow.
Otherwise i'm stuck with frozen blueys, mackie fillets and squid, which i'm defrosting as I type this.
Oh bol****s!
Oh well I'll have to make do with what I can get then.
Yes please Sean, if they've got any get me 10 worms plus a box of squid. Or a pack of ragworm.
Cheers.

You're going to have to guard those worms with your life Andy! They're a rare commodity today!
Are there any lug beds at Wolla? I'm taking my ancient worm pump on the off chance.
