Weymouth WSF Bass Meet/Comp 2009

Hi Guys, I'm planning on putting together a Meet/Comp in weymouth over a weekend next year. Gonna be primarly a Lure thing, hopefully ending in a friendly comp. Based on a rover, with prizes for the top fish. Can peeps say if they are interested so I can gauge the total interest and start a list..................mike:thumbs:

MY FISH if you come over you can teach me the art of night plugging ,know some good marks , still if its a week end meet and rover perhaps we are allowed to fish the evenings to, not sure what me mate mikes got in mind . Recon you should go big mike like the jersey one :thumbs:

Can get you started at least.
If there are fish there by day, most likely be there by night and, more, bigger etc...
Just gotta adapt to the dark and change your techniques.
I'm defo up for that.
Just don't make it April or May. Denmark April, Daughters new brat May.

Yeh, prob rover all weekend within the weymouth and portland boundary. Still working out the details mate, will update but need to wait and get some idea of numbers interested. When you say go big you mean like this???:bleh::bleh:

lol recon his finger is some where it should not be if you look close ha ha mike recon me and you could be rich if we go looking along the shore for all the plugs they welsh boys lost (mr fish must love those boys ) o and make up the fleet out of bounds , its a bag up venue , but allow the bride and harbours ( first prize a night with that sheep please ) put her back on , i love it :bleh::bleh::bleh:

I'd suggest that out of the ones I've handled, the SuperMix 270 is the most versatile.
I guess it depends on what you enjoy plug wise the most.
Topwater men will prefer "Ultimate's and Red Dragon Express" if fishing surf etc. Rod bar will do that too but in really rough weather its really a lighter weight plugging rod compared to the above.

SM270 though throws hard and soft baits and whilst the tip is more limber it still works topwaters ok.
The SM270 is a brilliant "bucktailer", so will work soft baits not only "finesse" but with a wide range of heads too.

Don't ignore the Sakura's though, they look real nice and well capable. Not quite the refinement of the Tenryu's but well worth a look.

Well guys the date is set for friday 4th september to sunday 6th september. £ entry to be confirmed for single and pairs, Prob gonna be a 5pm start and finish 4pm sunday. Evening presentation do at 7.30pm till whenever lol....

Tom, I can def do the leg work for you, as for others who are visiting the area. If I could get a rough number of people who want accom... I could prob get you all in one spot. Theres plenty of b & b as well as hotels in weymouth. The main tourist information centre is a good contact point as they have alot of information/avail of the accom. You can speak to them and arrange your accom as you can specify your requirements. Oh by the way u have a pm m8....mike
