Maybe putting this in the International section would get you more replies about the subject?

their equivalent of sea angler is "Peche en mer" if you find a magazine shop. something/one to translate may be needed if your lingo isn't too good

if your going in summer you'll have to travel quite a way depending where you are as many beaches are packed.
night fishing is always an option

northern france, expect similar fish to our south coast

ermm.... oh yer fish slightly lighter than you would as the fish are sometimes hard to come by hope this helps

I have to say the only French web site I've accessed focuses more on big game fishing, but it does have a chat room and most of the site is provided with English translations. It might be worth posting to or contacting that site, they may well be aware of a more appropriate site.

Alternatively is it worth contacting BASS? I recall that a recent on- line petition regarding commercial lining of breeding stocks of Bass off Jersey attracted a number of French anglers. They may well have contacts with French web sites.

Whoops! Vulcan thought transference doesn't always work! The big game web site was http://www.pechextreme.com.
