Had a ball this aftie. Off to the beach. 35*C; plenty of sunscreen and plenty of festy freezer burnt old bait.
Chop it up, chuck it in and the festy old bait becomes the burly. This small hammerhead went off like the frog in a sock. After a good 10 mins with hefty headshakes. Well, a bit of a buzz. Mate of mine also caught a hammerhead 5 mins later. Never seen them on the beach down here before. Very welcome.....
Soon, there were the rays come in to clean up what had been spilt. What a pain. These critters, only small, can still strip 200m 20lb in what seems like seconds. By the way, all the stingas always go back unharmed. Hope the piccie doesnt look to dodgy. Gotta watch out for the tail.
Small sharks but, make for ideal flake. Delicious.
My arms hurt.
Cant wait to do it again tommorrow......
