I know its only a fun match nige and all that, but maybe the points system could be a bit different. basically what im saying is that it isnt much harder to catch a pounting or cod than it is a whiting, yes i understand your probably thinking get there and catch them but im just thinking of the people that will be fishing them. Just seems abit of a lucky dip too me .. maybe what you want?. Just my opinion

i cant see a problem with the points system as nige said last week its set up for the freqeuncy that the fish come out and will be adjusted accordingly. and as far as i know youve got more chance of gettin a small whiting than you do a cod. its not the size dont forget its the species

The rules are the same for everyone taking part, as they are in any match. It's not so much a lucky dip, more like Lotto you've got to be in it to win it!

If you're in rule number one No moaning
If you're out no point in moaning.
Just my opinion.

Well Young Ragga, I must have misunderstood your first post.
How in your opinion should the match rules be changed for the benefit of the anglers taking part ?
If I've got it right this time that was your original intention wasn't it?

The forum is a place where people may express their views if they so desire, and perhaps if you just wanted to make the suggestion to Nige you could have sent him a P.M.

Will you be arranging any events this year?
Or would you suggest I give Howard a call and join a local club to find out for myself how other matches are organised ?

Look forward to reading your views on the above.

I think it would benefit the anglers if for example for a cod or pounting or the higher points fish were not scored as high. For example someone might be winning a competition with 9 whiting and someone catch a cod about 9 inches and take the spoils.

No i wont be aranging any events this year, yet because you seem too disagree with it want stop me giving my opinion. Phone howard by all means and see how other matches are organised i couldnt really care less.

If you dont no how other matches are organised, your probably disagreeing with me because you dont no a cod from a whiting?

Many thanks.

I'm not trying to stop you from giving your opinion!
I openly invited you to give them.
I've only been a sea angler 33years but that doesn't mean there isn't something I can't learn from you,or you from me.that what the forums are for.
You don't have to fall out with someone because they have different views you know!
And I do know the difference between a cod and a whiting, I've got a good memory.
