I know this aint the boat section, but thought a few of you may show some interest. There is a few of us welsh boat owners, planning a trip over to Lundy in the summer. We are thinking maybe heading over on a friday maybe try and get births in ilfracombe and a B&B, then spend the saturday fishing around lundy and surrounding area for shark and tope. If we decide to stay over for the saturday night aswell to make a weekend of it, we can do a bit of bass fishing on the sunday before we head home. We was woundering if any of you boat owners, would be interested in meeting up for a day or two's fishing. And maybe show us around your waters, and not to forget a few beers and a bit of banter in the night.

yeah he is the man for combe, i think his boat goes back in the water around april time, and yeah i am sure he will be able to help out, as he knows the harbour very well, and the fishing marks around there.
drop him a "PM" and i am sure he will be up for it.

Would be interested mate, I would need two days for Lundy------- one day to get there & another to get back :roll1::roll1:
She's not the fastest of boats to say the least !!...
But, yep, I'm moored in Ilfracombe harbour, so will join in the fun where I can:victory:

More than happy to tag along! I will try and get a load of marks from an old skipper I worked for who spent a good few summers back and forth Swansea to Lundy (Danny Willaims on Lady Gail). Dont know about tying up at lundy but if its possible there is a national trust barn that sleeps 20 people or the old manor that sleeps 10 as a thought?
Any dates highlighted?
What I can remember about drifting the hen & chickens is 1lb to 1 1/2lb leads are a must, death by pollock & Wrasse. count me in!!
