Fishing with the lads!,sense of humour and lots of scoff essential!..
This is a General fishing trip(hopefully have a go for the Spurs so bring a few wire traces)

I would've gone and missed the rugby but its a saturday and dont finish till 3pm so cant, hope you have a good one though and enjoy your 40th birthday(cough cough)!!!!

Apparently this IS on Saturday...
Not sure how it happened..but as a result i cant go as im in work..
I imagine Kev you can't go due to the Match etc..

Balls. I agreed to the missus going to cardiff saturday night aswell aslong as i could go fishing!!! Ohwell looks like i will just be getting doubly drunk saturday instead:drunk::drunk:

P.S can someone please advise me on what baits you will be taking plus what set-ups and what time, plus i have my own boat rod and reel but can you hire 1 aswell and if so how much extra.

You will need mackeral and squid as base baits..uptideing or downtiding gear..
8oz gripleads for the uptide..6/0 hooks..TubeBoom running ledgers
same setup for downtide but with 12oz plain leads..maybe a bit heavier when tide is running its hardest
I will try get a sailing time off Dave tomorrow for you i promise..
Dave does do rod hire..Believe its 5 quid..

I'm interested in a place on Saturday.
What's parking like at Barry as I've only been out on Anchorman from Penarth. Do we need a pocket full of coins?
Is the trip 30 a head or will we be splitting the boat cost between those of us who go?

no coins its free parking..
im sure one of the lads will meet you on the bridge over to barry island. as its not far from the harbour..

The price is £30pp regardless of how many are going..
if you sailing at 6am..then i imagine you will be back in around the 3-4pm mark..But with Dave thats always subject to change..he loves his fishing!

I'm having an idea where we go but not 100 % sure .

Trip is definatly on for tomorrow..
so be at the boat for 6am..weather and tides are perfect,I went out yesterday and had a Cracking day out!..make sure you got some heavy mono,or wire traces for the spurdogs..
you will be back in around 4pm..so you got an hr to rush home to watch the Match..

What was caught yesterday?
30+ spurs,thornbacks,congers(one of them was 30lb),Bullhuss,Doggies..
We were kept busy all day...
Bearing in mind there was only 6 of us on board
have a good one lads, wish i could come but alas not this time.
