Here i have Spaces for winter cod fishing in the Bristol Channel,Sailing from Penarth on board Anchorman Charters.Uptide fishing with Big worm and squid baits!..Bring plenty of scoff and you sense of humour with you!

This is for Sunday October 25th

A normal boat rod is fine and 8oz ball leads.

8-12oz plain leads if you downtiding(off the back of the boat)..depending on state of tides.

8oz grip leads are good for uptiding

Also yes, how much worm/squid will we each need?. Not so bothered about rag as I can use it spinning but lug (as its also expensive).

Thats a hell of alot of lug/rag for my 4 lol!. Will put my order in soon!.

Hopefully Dave will put us on the cod, my biggest ever caught is around 2.5lb from the shore, and never had one on the boat (went out 3 times last year for them too... lol!).

Weather is looking very grotty, not at all promising, the thing is do I go and pick up 2lb of lug or not. Perhaps a compromise 1lb plus squid and if it goes tits up go shore fishing.

I did want to try my new boat rod out :cry:

Hi Ken Looking at the weather this morning on the met office it is forcast cloundy with sunny intervals all day nothing like the last few days.

So i would personally take the chance and buy your bait.

We are ON tomorrow..weather is fine...westerlies.

Dave is out today..in the same place we are going..and its flat calm..Ive check the Met and shipping forcast..giving a force 3-4..and were we are going its sheltered and easily fishable

so see you all on the boat 7.45am tommorrow
