Looks like the weather is going to be the same as the other match Nigel looking at the weather forecast lol wind and rain:cold: so we will have to get those winter warmers out and some hand warmers too. But I’ll be there this time well wrapped up snug as a bug.

If the weather is anything like last week, and it's looking that way I'll give it a miss Nige, the (Fun Factor) last week was severely impeded by it. I.M.H.O.
I'll keep watching the weather reports though.

At the risk of being Off Topic but in the interest of trying to keep warm this week.. Does anyone know if the Fladen One Piece 845 Flotation Suites selling in "The Range" are any good ?

A few answers here bud. Try it on before you buy one mate, the only drawback for want of a better word is answering the call of nature,a 2 piece suit is more versatile.

Never occured to me clothing would be in tackle & equipment forum
Think I'll go look in Angling & Hiking tea time If I get a chance (too much work not enough time)
If there's nowt there I'll be the one at the Docks tonight with the labels still hanging off my bright blue & yellow Fladen one piece.
Cheers Again

summary and results from match as follows
On another wet and windy night-wind south westerly strong temp -bloody freezing.:cold:
amazingly another good attendance with 24 silly sods braving horrible conditions.
The match started frantic with whiting coming out from all areas. The wind was a problem blowing left to right and a few people tangling lines.Fizzer,Ged Stevens and Gareth Giriffiths catching straight away all whiting.Over the last few weeks it seems to be very important to catch early has it tails of after the first half hour. Anglers bravely battled through horrendous conditions and most people caught fish but has the match drew into the last 15 mins it seemed to be the 3 stooges :laugh:mentioned who were going to take the spoils. At the end of the match no big pollack, cod or pounting were caught were caught.results were
first Ged Stevens 26 Pts:1a:
Second Garreth Griffiths 22 pts
Third John Fazackerley 18 pts
these were all whiting
only one different species of fish that was caught was a cocker caught by John Dawson.
Next week we are going to move nearer the boat at the back of morrisons BUT the draw and cars need to be parked at the normal place then we'll walk down.Do not park on Morrisons car park:uhuh::uhuh:
Lets hope the conditions are better next week:thumbs:
Also whoever forgot their brolly -i have it pm me :banghead:

Enjoyed last night fishing but don't like fishing the top part near morrisons:cry: :2: (Not moaning only to myself) As the water is shallow and you need to cast out, and with the wind last night i didn't cast as the wind might of throw it over other peoples lines.
But yet another good match not blanked had 3 whiting would of had more but at the start had bigger hooks on so change to a smaller hook and pulled 3 out :fishing:
See you next week.

Yes your right as i fish any comp as a fun match thats why i enjoy them, if you go to a match and hopeing to get the best place and to catch fish you will be dissapointed when things don't turn out your way. I enjoyed it so did my nephews and said thay will be back and caught no fish.

Agree whole heartedly there... and will be there next week and trying to get a few more interested.... including my Bro.
Fished down the side Morrissons about three weeks ago - 14ft rod size 2/0 hooks and a 6 ozs of lead to get it out into the middle.. Not even a bump. but that's not unusual for me it's taken till last night for me to catch my first fishy of the year... the ugliest cocker I've seen since I was a kid
Again thanks for organising Nige :clap3:
ps hope the millom lads got home ok:thumbs:yeah we just got to the bridge as they were setting up cheers for another enjoyable night
