My last report sees me fishing for Kingfish virtually underneath Sydney Harbour Bridge.Chris (Kingyfisher) picked me up at my daughters apartment in Bondi at 5am.We headed off fishing for squid first which was new to me and an art in itself.

Chris wrote up the original report on the Sydney Fishfinder Forum. On my return to the UK added my photos to his report herehttp://www.sydneyfishfinder.com.au/sffforum/showthread.php?t=4747

Well this was my last Australian report.I just hope that you enjoyed reading them as much as I enjoyed fishing them

Fish Tamer

Snatcher Squirted by a Sydney Squid
An early start saw John(aka Snatcher) and myself chasing some King bait
Snatcher popped his squid cherry with a lollypop size calamari ,which was put to very good use later on,and I managed to "Baptize" him in the inkiest of squid ink, cuttlefish squirt!
We rounded up the Hoodster and headed for the Kings, but first we introduced him to a few "friendly" Surgeons....
I missed the only decent run, drat.
We arrived to a tale of tradgedy, a Kingfish had just been lost by a couple of young guns.Snatchers squid was hooked up to a nice big strong hook and floated out....
Within minutes he had a good run ,he hooked into the fish but unfortunately there must have been a nick in the 15kg braid and it parted shortly thereafter(my fault entirely) but at least he did get to 'feel' how a good King pulls....
My bait got nailed shortly after and a 70cm+ King was expertly netted by the Hoodster, which was just as well as the hook was starting to straighten when the fish went 'nuts' on the surface!
We made one more attempt to get snatcher a fish but we were told to leave our spot before we succeeded
I will post some pics soon,ps the Hoodster scored a respectable 35cm Bream while we were trying for Surgeon(it was NO CONTEST on his gear)

Thanks for a great morning out Kingyfisher,I realy enjoyed itBeing asked to leave the opera house by security was a bit of a bummer when the bream were just starting to bite!!!!!!!!

Getting snapped by that kingfish just means that I will have to return to oz and try for them again

Got some good photos from this session, will post them up on my return to the UK.Also got loads of reports to post up,all with pictures as well.

Kingyfisher and Haji my offer was genuine to stay with us in our static holiday caravan in Scotland,Mull of Golloway. The fishing can be quite good at times.Check out the local charterfishers website for some idea of the potential, its onyermarks.

Will pop on to say bye before I leave oz.Thanks again

John

Thats was a very decent sized bream, the biggest I saw caught went nearly 5lbs, a kid caught it on a hand line using a little hardback crab, up in Gossford.
