here the summary,results and notices.
On a cold damp night with a slight breeze from sw, 24 anglers fished in usual area.:
Fish were coming out from the off with Ged,Gav and myself catching whiting fast.After about 30 mins the fish on the lower pegs slowed down to virtually nowt has fished moved into deeper water further out in the middle section.(always happens) . shouts of fish counts of 10 fish were coming out from Ged and Gav with others not far behind-i had 10 at this point.
About half way through "old man Dicko " shrieked that something had staightened his hook out(again).!With this he showed every man and his dog his hook.I thought i saw a fin but may have been a morrisons bag.
Anyway Dicko continued to show every one his hook and words like "carpet" "jaws" and "conger" were being muttered by dicko(must be his age) to be honest i was glad at the end , dicko ended up with a few fish but the one that got away was bantered about by everyone he could tell.
Enjoyable match where most caught fish-apart from Matty
Only whiting were caught
Results were

Ged Stevens 38 pts 19 fish
Fizzer(lucky) 28 pts 14 fish(i was halfs with him)
Stew Williams + Gav Wood 24pts 12 fish

Looking at the match sheets that were handed in over 100 whiting were caught so best yet.

Next match is next Wednesday 4th Febuary
and a quick note there is a white rag ban

I think this is a good idea as its a fun match and only the very keen match people will be getting them, and most people don't have the time to hunt for them. White rag is hard anothe to come by as it is and the places where you get them are a guarded secret. plus if any kids fish any of the matchs they will have no chance as i don't think they will be having whites. My thoghts.
