View Full Version : Sweden in early February
Hi
I am going to Are in Sweden for a few days at the beginning of February. I think it is a ski resort but I have been offered a chance to go fishing if I want - as of course I do :) .
But i've no idea what I have let myself in for !
Does anyone know what king of fishing might be possible in Sweden this time of year.
Ice fishing - excellent !
Does that mean drilling holes in the ice etc. What on earth do you catch ?
That will make a change from blanking at Felixstowe Beach :)

I have had a look and asked a few questions it looks like Arctic Char are the main fish caught in the Are region using jig lures as well as some sea trout and grayling.
I have also heard some people fish at night to catch burbot using strips of fish.
All looks really good.
Thanks to those who replied
