i am planning a holiday to rhyl in north wales at the end of march, just wondered if any of you could give me any tips to start me off in shore fishing as i have only just started. Thanks alot

your best bet is to buy a ready rig from a tackle store-then learn off these and try and make your own.
bait : try using fish baits in strips .
lug worm, peelelr crab and rag worm are exspensive baits but are by far the most productive. if these arent working try tipping them off with aa fish bait e.g lug tipped with squid.
rigs: as i said use a ready rig, the most productive is a mustad scratching rig with a 3-4 oz lead.or a like gemini are also very good

Power casting is also useful............. something i have yet to master

oh yeh i forget to add
you dont need to cast far
to catch bass and flounder-15 yrds
