Saturday 2nd May lincs meet

Hi chaps!

I've been in the Skegness area since Easter weekend; and what with work commitments, having to go the Holland on business*, and breaking my bait pump, I've not had a chance to fish at all!

So, I've made arrangements to revisit Skegness on May 1st for the weekend.

Who fancies a meet somewhere (Mogg's Eye maybe) on Saturday 2nd May? As the tides are carp at the moment, they should be better by then.

Suggestions welcomed.

Hmm. The tide times are a bit awkward aren't they?

There's the early start option from around low tide I guess. I would be more inclined to fish from about 10am then see how it goes through high water, with the option of fishing the tide back down again.

If the weather holds out until then, Huttoft has a good chance of being very busy with holiday makers' kids running into your lines every 5 minutes. Mogg's Eye or the likes don't tend to get as busy when the weather is nice in my fairly limited experience of last summers fishing. Trunch Lane in Chapel St. Leonards may be another likely candidate, with the cafe and tackle shop so close to hand at the back of the sand dunes.

Where is the sand replenishment pump likely to be in two weeks? I reckon staying down tide of it would be a plan, where you could fish on undisturbed sea bed and still get a bit of free ground bait floating around in the water down with the rising tide.

What about fishing the evening low water up to high water around midnight must have more chance of catching that than the daytime tide cheers Andy

I may not make it for the Saturday. Can't say for sure yet, as I don't know what I'm doing through the daytime. An evening session at Bohemia Pt does sound tempting though.
