Elliot Beach Meet - 11th July

Hi all,have finally decided to make the Meet on the 11th July,due to the general concensus of all concerned,:thumbs:,my sincere apologies to those members who would liked to have come,but are not able to make it on this date:sad:,I`m sure there will be other opportunities,and I thank you all for the input and interest shown,many thanks,John.
Sat 11th july: LW 11.25am.....1.2mtrs
HW 17.35pm.....5.2mtrs.
I suggest we meet up in the car park,just after the roundabout,before heading to the beach.Will post up more directions/information at a later date.

oh yes definatley sis in law never fished before but i suppose she will be at home making sandcastles :laugh::laugh: and they have forcast some of this for the summer as well

Just a wee note to those not familair with the area. (see photo above)

When you come off the footbridge onto the park there is a river (which runs into the sea) about 150 yds to the right.
I tend to fish the other side of the river to avoid the majority of the dog walkers on the beach (bain of my life)
If you intend to fish this part of the beach it is advisable to cross the river by the footbridge that runs along the fenceline of the railway, otherwise crossing the river on the beach can be a bit tricky unless you are wearing wellies.

As Iain ( The Malt Man) kindly pointed out in his last post,the footbridge makes it easier to traverse the Elliot Burn,to access the far right of the beach,I have enclosed a blow -up of the said Footbridge,cheers Iain.

theres a quicker way follow the path back towards the roundabout then go down the grass verg it will lead you under the railway and right by the foot bridge to walk over

Would like to have made this one but i checked and finish a 15hour shift at 8o'clock on the sunday morning..It's been a while since i have managed to make it to a meet always seem to be working the weekends they have been on.Well apart from todays (Peterhead)which i never knew about :doh: cause i never read meets etc
