Ok lads and lasses, August is the month for Team Blank to show the Barry Dock blankers how it is done!

The venue I was planning was Pendennis point and the date I am leaving open to suggestions...so that we can hopefully find a mutual date when ALL of team Blank can attend!!!:hammer::hammer:

The BDB's have been in touch with me and are EAGER to come and show us how to blank!! so PLEASE PLEASE fellow team blank members, get yourselves organised and get your name and preferred date listed here NOW...the weekend of august 22-25 is out for me....its my hubby's birthday and my life wouldn't be worth living if I went fishing lol:crazy: so any other dates in August will be fine.

For all NON Team Blank members - if you want to come along, please add your name, if you manage a Blank you will earn the Team Blank personalised members badge!

As for the date, well, as long as the day of the week ends in a 'Y' I am there.

As to the location, just had a bit of a search, and it looks good. As I have a habit of throwing a float out, what will we likely be able to catch there. I know I said catch :crazy:. Is it a rocky headland with fairly deep water close in? Rough ground etc et, somewhere for ninjadai to curl up and go to sleep? Easy parking etc etc. Good work guys, we are just coming down to have some fun, no more noe less.

As for venue, beaches are going to be no go areas at that time of the year so I don't mind the suggested venue. Is it as Wrassy as it looks?

Right you lot lol Pendenis is excellent for float fishing during the day....with mackerel garfish, pollock, wrasse and even bass!!! it is quite "Kelpy" actually very kelpy in places but as you dont need to chuck out too far....for those who fear tackle loss, spark plugs and 3 oz weights will suffice...soo not too expensive on tackle front! lovely big wrasse to be had here... also good for feathers and spinning.....so really it is an ideal spot for a get together and gentle fish......ample parking(free!!!)...good on high and low tides, must admit i have never fished it at night!!!! was thinking of a 12 noon start till whenever you get hacked off!!!!! lol plenty of sleeping room...I should know, spent many an hour sleeping on rocks in the sun lol

Ample parking (Free!!!) oops already said that lol and if the weather wasn't in our favour there are plenty of other marks we could possibly move on to very easily!!!

I am thinking Sat August 15th would be a good date....what do you all think?

I'll be throwing plugs and softies so it makes no difference to me how tackle hungry it is, in fact, if it's rough and kelpy so much the better for surface lures, and softies are cheap as chips anyway, losing a few is no big deal.

I'll be camping down there, don't know where yet, but I may be able to put a few up if you bring a sleeping bag, I'll know nearer the time.

And Bushy will back me up on this, when I go fishing I leave the forum behind so if anybody is gonna be nervous about forum mods turning up, don't be! We fish, we laugh, we eat cakes and we swap fishing tips, what I do on here is forgotten. ;)

The time is not a problem as getting up at really stupid o'clock is not a problem. According my sat nav, it is about 200 miles to Falmouth, so allowing for traffic (NOT) and other delays that might occur, I would hazard a guess to allow 4 hours to get there and that is factoring in stops as well on the way.

I am trying to borrow a mini bus off a friend of mine so that might make things a little bit easier, easier to change drivers as well.

As stated previously, this is NOT a charity meet, its NOT a competition, NO raffles, NO Nothing!!! just for fun.

If you ring just say you are from the WSF forum and Lynn has already rung to discuss possible orders from visiting anglers.....hope that helps you out

Almost got blown into the sea such was the gale but it looked so fishy.
I'm presuming most of us will be short range fishing with floats, spinners etc. But what's it like casting out into the channel with bottom rigs. Is the rip too strong, or is it still really snaggy. Say 80-100yards out.
Just starting to plan that's all.
