Hi Folks, I hope you will not mind an early reminder to put a date in the autumn diary please.
The Mark Alsop Memorial Cup Match 2009 will be fished at Great Yarmouth on Sunday 11th October this year
Just as last year, the charity donation will go directly to the MacMillan Nurses group associated with the local James Paget Hospital at Gorleston, and just as before, we are of course very grateful for all donations and offers of help.
This year's event will be catch & release and anglers may retain all sizeable fish if desired.
The resulting process will use the highly successful length to weight conversion tables and only fish meeting the former NFSA recommended retention sizes will count.
This year will see the introduction of a more formal structure with an organising committee handling management of this event.
As usual, we will be extremely grateful for all offers of help and sponsorship and anyone that can offer prizes etc should contact me on 07792 440086 or via email.
Mark's first memorial match last year attracted more than 50 anglers and raised almost £1000 for this very deserving charity. This year we hope to do even better.
Many thanks
