Good Fishing This Month

Theres really good fishing to be happening this month. (jersey)

Flounder - Try St Aubins there have been loads of fish to 2 1/2 lb this year but you will have to put effort into it.

Whiting - Gorey!!! 1lb + whiting are a real possibility i had 40 in one session and i think flounder is on the cards but ive never tried.

Bass will be around the harbour but catching them needs plenty of time.

Pollack from Elizabeth castle and sorel point small chance of a double figure but weather permits.


Where can i catch turbot, i heard plemont is good/

turbourt can be caught from a variety of place, try white rock or corbiere, they are know to be good.

I'd heard corbier was worth a try for Turbot from the shore ... Didn't realise it would be possible to catch them at White Rock - what were you using for bait and what stage of the tide - i image it would have to be fishing the low up as theres alot of water moving around there at high tide? Any mullet around from the rocks ...

i was fishing with either sand eel or squid, cant remember, and i woulf fish 2 hours either side of high and low water, then the tide isnt so strong and thats when you have a good chance of catching them, corbiere is better than white rock though because you can get to corbiere easier and there isnt as many rocks to snag your tackle!

Had a go at Gorey last night, but not much happening. One guy had a pollack off there, but that was all I saw, apart from lots of crabs!
