Hi folks

I have started a new thread, cos last one seemed to go off on a tangent!!:shutup::hammer: and people have got a little lost lol

I'm gonna have to be firm on this one, any irrevalent comments or "off topic" threads I will get removed...just to keep it simple so eveyone is clear about the venu, dates etc.

ok the meet/social fishing get together is on:

I will send confirmation of weather details approx. 5 days before to all who now add their name to this thread.
Also i will send details of alternative venu if the weather is too bad for pendinnis....it will be falmouth area.

yeah sort of? as with any kids fishing, just watch them and take care...deep water, possibly slippy rocks and no hand rails or barriers!

be nice to see them there tho!

yes mate, but again due to numbers and time of year fly cellas may be too small a venu.......back up venu will pobably be trefusis/st antonys (confirmation and full google map will be sent out nearer the date) because of the accommodation booked by visitors. Lets just keep fingers crossed the weather holds up for us all to have a nice BBQ and good social meet, hopefully mackie, gars and bass should be back by then!:thumbs:

In answer to your question about wind direction Lynnie that you asked us the other day. Anything strong from between South and East would be awkward for Pendennis says Mr. Any other direction and you can find some shelter from the wind by walking around the point to left or right depending on wind direction.

10 day forcast is looking good at the moment, :sun::wiggle::fishing1:lets just keep our fingers crossed it stays that way.(I will update 5 days before:marinheir)

Unfortunately the chef, Yokelobin, is unable to get a fishing permit :crazy::laugh: lol so any other wannabe chefs feel free to bring your BBQ and equipment:victory:

Forecast is looking good at the mo:victory:...10 day prediction is showing a nice sunny day :sun::sun:with force 2-3 winds from a N - NW direction.....so fingers crossed looks like it could be ideal weather.....:1a::victory:will check again next wed/thu.

Due to a S - SW wind coming in on sat, i have made the descision to change venues, cos pendennis point could be a little tricky to fish with these winds. :thumbdown:nono:
The new venue will be Trefusis point...dont panic its not far away, but should be a little more sheltered, there is plenty of room there
so tents and beach/rock lol shelters could possibly be put up if you like!:clap::fishing:
Trefusis is opposite Falmouth docks and offers free paking, there is small walk appox 10-15 minutes across either fields or rocks, the choiceis yous.:clap::cc_surren
There is a possibility of pollock, wrasse, garfish, mackerel, huss,thornies, doggies, bass and mullet from here, so any type/style of fishing is acceptable!

maps below show location and directions given from penyn (as if appoaching from truro/helston side)

I will PM my mobile number to you all later incase you get lost or cant find us on the rocks, i will try and put some balllooons up in the hedgeow so you can find us :hypocrite:cc_surren lol......i will be there from 8 am onwards with Brolly (BDB member)

DIRECTIONS FROM PENRYN......turn left at traffic lights at the bottom of Penryn hill, opposite texaco garage.

1. Head northeast on Church Hill toward Bissom Rd 0.1 mi
2. Turn right at Bissom Rd 0.5 mi
3. Turn right at Tregew Rd 1.0 mi
4. Turn right to stay on Tregew Rd 364 ft
5. Continue on St Peter's Rd 0.4 mi
6. Turn right at Trefusis Rd 0.5 mi

Anyone know what the parking situation is please? my partner says he last visited tre-woof-sis about 6 years ago. Then there was parking for a few cars only - at the end of the road before you walk through the small wood onto the first field.
yeah parking is free all the way along road....possibly up to 30 cars but the earlier you get there the closer to the woods you can park:punk:, i could pick u up if you are going early!

Forecast so far - according to Magic Seaweed - is for West or South West winds force 4/5 in strength.

West wind will give us some "cut" from the land and be quite pleasant, south west will be blowing across us all from right to left as you cast out but still won't be too bad. This is assumming that everyone fishes just to the east side of Trefusis Point itself.

Blimey m8 what size car do you drive? an articulated lorry?:roll1::busted_co I have underlined in red 3 cars that are shown parked on the map below, so like i said you could park possibly up to 30 cars along trefusis road, but it does fill up on a nice day with walkers, so the earlier you get there the closer to the woods you can park!

that just shows the parking.....you need to keep walking at the end of the road through the woods, keep the the big fenced in house to your right - go through the gate thing that always manages to catch me out with my rods :whistling - and then acoss a couple of fields before heading down to the rock mark:bangin::bangin::help:
