View Full Version : Seat Material
Evening all
I want to make up some seats does anyone know if anywhere online sells suitable material for seats and also the foam to make them comfy!!
Thanks
MarieK
PS they will be at the stern so exposed to the elements.
If you can find a upholsterers in your area, (small business section of your trade directory, or classifieds in your local newspaper), i'm sure they'd be happy to sell you both the leatherette and the polyurethane foam, they may even cut the foam to size for you
Good luck:)

Hi MarieK , If cutting the polyurethane foam the best thing to use is an electric bread knife .
If your only looking a small piece of polyurethane foam i have small piece (2ftx2ftx4 inches )
lying in the garage if you want it .
Andy
Do you know where to buy the foam locally?

Hi Mate..
Try "Zhivago" upholstery supplies based in Duncrue Ind. Est.
I got foam there before, along with vinyl for the covers.....
DAVE.
Get the firmest foam you can find. I have seat pads on my Trophy and after a day they are squashed flat and not so comfy any more. And I'm not lardy, either!
I saw on a web site, can't recall which just yet, seat cushions for sale at £5 each which also act as a floatation device. They were available in red or blue.
If I find the site I will post it here.

Try Dunelms, they sale loads of material types and foam, I brought some lightweight water proof material to make a canopy.
