I had a look at the platinum charts at the excel boat show. Personly I thought that alot of the extra's like 3d veiws of marina's and estuaries were nothing more than a gimmick. Considering what you had to pay over the top of the gold charts, I will be waiting along time. The shore info that you could search was I suppose handy if you were travleing out of your normal area, more for you big offshore cruiser I think. For fishing purposes, I could'nt see any advantage.:nonono:
