does anyone know how to get hold of a keel band for a dell quay dory?and also what they are made of?
Don't know if they are commercially available from the manufacturers of your boat but I have made plenty for different boats from 316 Stainless Steel strip.

They have a double skin, so if you screw a keel band on you have to make damn sure you seal the screws well or you could take on some extra ballast, it might be better to glue it on, or even better still, dont ground it, then you wont need one.

I remember seeing keel bands that could be stuck on, they came on sale about 4 years ago?? and received pretty good reviews

I enquired on the price of a keel band for my 13ft Dell Quay, £104 for a 6ft section of 5" wide plastic! I'll be repairing the scrapes methinks!
