Anyone know the hp of a 2.2BMC

I was always under the impression that a litre was equivalent the 7.5HP, which if that is right puts the BMC2.2 @ about 17HP?

I dont think it can be skip I have a 3.8 perkins = 86 hp ???

The ones I've seen are rated between 45 to 60bhp.
