Anybody/Everybody going to the Cardiff Boat Jumble on 7th March at County Hall? I will be there buying lots of things that I want, but dont need!
It hasn't been very well advertised this year, are you "Cardiffians" trying to keep all the bargains to yourselves? Tough, the "Jacks" know its on, & we will be down there to nip the bargains from under your noses.
I need some more chain, & last year I picked up a 15lb fisherman anchor, 25ft of 6mm short link chain, & 50m of braided rope for $15, just by opening a sack & offering the guy $15 for the contents! I hope he is there again this year!
Will have to think up some sort of ID badge, so that everybody from WSF will know who I am, & ignore me!

Kelvin
I went to Margam to get some Sikaflex, but there was a stall there offering 3 tubes of "Marineflex" for $15, so I bought that instead. It was advertised as being as good as Sikaflex, & from what I can see there is no difference apart from about $4 a tube, its done the job for me anyway, keep an eye out for it.

Kelvin it was advertised on a board out front of one of the big stalls, selling bouys, anchors, chain etc, they had boxes of the stuff, I'm sure they will be at Cardiff, it was one of the big companies stalls, it wasn't a back of the van job, keep your eyes peeled its good stuff.

I get all my stainless bolts, nuts, washers from Wye Valley Stainless, they do some really good selections on e-bay, typical is "520 pieces bolts nuts washers 4, 6, 8mm 25-100mm long, 12.99" I have loads of stuff I get from them, but only fastenings, no chandlery.

Cheers mate, i'll keep em in mind!!
I'm after handrails more though as we've had a couple of recent 'uncomfortable' outings on the bay...There was one in particular when we came back and my pants were like a BMX track...!!!

So, i take it that the one in Cardiff is indoors then!?!?

C'mon Pottsy, "indoors", after BMXing your drawers, whats a bit of cold weather to a man of your calibre? I tend to go for incontinance pants myself, the only problem is trying to get your leg over the side, when you come into the berth, messy business.
Let me know how you get on with your handrails, I know a bloke who does stainless fabrication in Gwaen Cae Gurwen, he has done some jobs for the marina, superb craftsman, but I doubt he would be the cheapest guy around.
