Went up to Maryport with my son and fished off the wall. we fished low up and down again. My son had two small plaice and I had a very small gurnard.

have you ever fished off the pier weeiean? i`v had some good days there...most fish off right hand side but i have had decent stuff off the left on incoming...some very decent cod dec-january caught from there....

we fished maryport prom 3 hrs back 3hrs in 2small cod
1 flounder 1 eel , :cool: ran out of peeler it was the only bait working .

i find the best place this time of year is by bank end farm (the end of the promenade) just by the golf course. A mate of mine fished there a couple of week ago and caught 4 plaice and a couple of dabs. Best to fish on the flood i think

fished maryport prom today, plenty of weed no fish. two lads north of us caught 3 codling 2flounder between them. :(
