Anglers Talk North East February meet 2010
Saturday 20th February
Venue........South shields pier
Here is south shields pier lads, there is a variety of marks to fish from the brigade hut,1st gate, the post,44 mark,railend,s/e corner, the wheel, the blocks loads of marks and the tides are spot on for the meet small,so should be spot on. Tackle losses can be high if fishing near the end of the pier seaward side marks such as the blocks, but there is sandy patches at the blocks. Marks such as the 44 mark are quiet clean,so is the railend and 1st gate, the usual baits will work, cod, coalies, whiteys will be the main fish that show up along with dabs, flounders.

Tide...........High tide 18.45.....4.8 metre tide
Meeting at the main car park at the start of the pier at 11.30.
Fishing from 12.30 until 18.30
Optional sweepstake of £5 for heaviest single fish, winner takes all.
If the weather is too rough to fish on the day then the back up marks will be either the first gate, the small beach or the walkway, groyne.
Would of liked to organise this one to suit some of the lads further South, but with catch reports been poor further South decided on a mark which will suit all anglers and will throw a few fish up regardless of weather and tides.
Look forward to seeing everyone there :)
