Perfect Billy, heard good things about this place plenty of fish or so the rumour mill has it.

Yeah it can be. Expecting a few dogs, codling, coalies, pollock and whiting at this match. We had a good club match on Sunday in the Fort William area 174 fish between 5 of us. Big Iain top bag with 46 me 2nd with 42, all dogs, codling and whiting.

seen some really good spurs (15lb +) off there last year as well mate ,they only seem to show over low though.i only got dogs off it though !

I have fished there a lot and caught dogs and small thornbacks from the beach using mackeral as bait. Seem to catch on all tides.

Weather looks to be okay for Sunday. For anyone not fished this beach before it is a shallow snag free bottom and fish can normally be found from about 50 yard upwards (when they're there of course!), any fish baits or worm will catch, its easy fishing.

Very poor, turnout and fishing that is.

1st - Chris Horn 100pts (2 LSD)
2nd - Cameron Carmichael 99 pts (1 Spurdog)
3rd - Mike Horn & Iain Graham 50pts each (1 LSD each)

Only 9 fished, 5 fish caught, if held again will be later into year when fishing will be better, or into evening where there will be plenty of fish.

thats a shame mate ,i had a poor day there late last year as well,but the previous week spurs to over 15lb had come off in daylight ,so its maybe just a bit hit and miss like the lochs.
