Many Thanks for posting that excellent series of photographs. Is that the area you're planning to fish for the big Halibut and Greenland Sharks later in the year? And presumably there's also a picture of the harpoon - Nostovälineet on ainaki kunnossa - you're planning to use on them?

that is not the place, where I am going next time and hunting the BIIIG , the place is Grytöya in Lofots, it's near of Harstad, there is big competition too (EFSA European Boat and Line Class championships) I have been there 4 times and plannig 2-3 trips in this summer, next in 1.6, I know, that there is much big halibuts, because I had some of them in my pirk and know what the local people got there.
greenland shark is 20km east from Grytöya, island call Andörja, there is deep waters, over 500m only 500m from shore, so not long way to go.
that isn't my harpoon, I have different model, selfmade with 40cm point and rope there, so it's easy to use.

Cracking set of pictures. Some nice wolfish and cod there. What size where they?

wolffishes was about 6-8kg and cods 6-11,5kg , so not very big, but next trip is 1.6 to lofots and water is warmer then, hoply heering is in fjords, after it come bigger fishes
