Ship held over fishing offences
The crew of a French ship are being questioned by Guernsey fisheries officers about fishing offences.
The Cherbourg-registered Gonel was escorted to St Peter Port Harbour early on Tuesday, where it is under guard by States' Sea Fisheries officers.
The boat was picked up six miles (10km) east of Sark with three crew onboard.
An investigation is under way into fisheries offences. Vessels need a licence to fish within a 12-mile (19km) zone around the Bailiwick.
The licence was introduced to protect fish stocks.
