Hi guys, i did a spot of boat fishing over the summer months and currently have two bass of around 3-lb apiece sat in my freezer. These fish have not been gutted yet, but were frozen as soon as i returned home from the trip. My question is will these fish be ok for eating seeing as they're ungutted??? Sorry if this question sounds stupid, i'm just a little unsure...

The process of freezing will kill any nasty little critters and bugs, but gut ASAP, like when the belly flaps are able to be opened with the guts still crystally with ice if possible.

you should really try and gut them and eat them as soon as possible.

Have got a couple of 3lbs bass that I washed and gutted before freezing, I am going to cook them whole, is it best to defrost them first or cook them from frozen?
with thanks

max 3 months, or it will start to freezer burn.... i would normally try to use it within two or one t.b.h though.
