can any-one help
i want to try for mullet on the fly rod i am thinking of trying a maggot type fly
can you buy these if so where
thanks abu:
Mike Ladle's maggot flies are hooks with a bit of foam for buoyancy and a live maggot hooked on. Not really a fly but there you go.
Alternatively you could try these rubber maggots. I can't vouch for them but they might work. Obviously the fish need to be feeding on the weed maggots first. I wouldn't bother using these for harbour or estuary mullet.

Not really 'playing cricket old boy' but the Berkley power grubs are deadly ! can have redworms, maggots, pinkies etc I use them as hook shields for all wary fish, no matter what bait I am using, but they are heaven sent for the fly presentation !
Was on the river about 2 weeks ago, had many dace, roach, bleak recently and never had to change the grub once ! The grubs and maggots come in glass jars, make sure you keep em airtight or they will dry out, dont put used baits back in the jar.
