:) we had this question before rassik, and i think the cheapest ones wern't made by dexter's , and they were shaped like a bolt head ( squashed in the same lozenge shape as the dexter ) ,
cant remember the price , but they were very cheap and they worked just as well

I just picked some up from baits direct, so I'm good at the moment. Shame, otherwise I would have taken you up on it.

I know it sounds hard to believe, but I have found the immitations to not be as good as the real thing. I have proved this on a couple of occasions with my wife and I fishing the same mark, one with an original Dexter, the other with the same size replica. The Dexter was catching the replica was not, swapped and the Dexter continued to catch.
I don't know if it is down to better reflective gualities or a slight variation in shape leading to a better action in the water, but bottom line is that the only time I use the cheap replicas now is if I am over ground where I know I am likely to loose it.

It's the exaggerated wobble, sends off more vibrations, the holographic tape helps, i'ts a good idea to take extra holographic tape with you as it tends to peel off when dragged over shingle, remember to dry the wedge before adding new.
I have had a chat with dexters regarding this problem, they agree there is a problem with the tape and will rectify it.
What other lures have such a weight range, and another thing is, they are made from brass. Remember to sharpen trebbles after beach work.:) :)

I'd like to refurbish last years Dexters - add new trebles and tape - where can you get the holographic tape from?
Cheers

I got mine from an Artist shop, also look out for craft shops, they have rolls of tape that can be carried in tackle box, I also removed the trebles and fitted 3/0 singles, improved my landing rate, fish like Gar fish won't hook up on a treble.
Try eBay, you usually can get bargains on wedge's
