Hi All!,

I.m being dragged to Rhosneiger next week while my brother does a spot of windsurfing. :boat:

I was thinking of taking the fly-rod along for a bit of first time SWFFing

Is it worth it? :fishing:

If so what tactics, spots, flies would you advise, also any help on cleaning tackle afterwards would be helpful.

Many Thanks and Merry Christmas, :fish:

Yaffle :D

PS ---> Is that how you spell Rhosneigr?

I'm not familiar with the beach Yaffle so I can't help too much on that count. But if there are any rocky areas leading to deeper water give it a try. I'm not sure how casting a fly into the surf would work too well.

As for cleaning your kit do as you would with normal sea kit and rinse it under cold water and wipe your rod down. I run my line through a damp cloth to get the salt of it then leave it in big loops to dry.

Hopefully someone who knows the beach will be able to help a little more.

Good luck if you give it a try. :fish:

You probably would have been better posting this on the N.Wales forum, as your asking about a mark :) at Rhosneigr.

There should be some Coalfish in the surf and also the odd school Bass but I guess not the best time of year for the fine art of fly fishing !

Good luck, if you get any, let us know
